KITCHEN REMODEL

Danny Veirs was outstanding. He has an excellent judgement and very high standards. Moreover, everyone is his crew and the subcontractors he uses is extremely nice and professional. We renovated our kitchen and it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. His original cost estimate, while higher than other contractors, was spot on with minimal additional costs along the way. He also went above and beyond when it came to fixing things that were outside the scope of the initial contract (for example, he built a removable cabinet that allows access to the crawl space below the kitchen) with no extra charge. The kitchen turned out great. I recommend him in the strongest possible terms.

MULTI ROOM REMODEL 

Danny Veirs came highly recommended from a neighbor and we couldn't be more pleased. He is truly a craftsman and exceeded our expectations. He transformed unused space above our family room into 2 bedrooms and a bathroom . The team was professional, meticulous and left our house cleaner each day than when they started. They were respectful to our family, especially with little kids at home during the day. Danny had great vision and was able to offer creative suggestions for a small space, such as sizing and placement of windows, vanity, linen closet, and fixtures. Everyone who walks into our new space is immensely impressed. The details in the rooms are amazing, down to every last finish. The closets he made for our kids are top quality, with special touches we would never have thought of: custom shelving and shoe racks (which Dan made himself), custom rods, and unique lighting suggestions which actually light the entire closet. It was recommended by our architect to do individual room air conditioners, and Danny spent a lot of time discussing how centralized units would be better. He was so right, and we are so glad we listened to him! Dan Veirs came in on budget, even though we wound up changing things along the way. He was conscientious about our budget and made sure to keep us on track. He finished right on time; all of us (including our neighbors) were amazed at how quickly the project was done. Danny is a master in the field and I give him my highest recommendation. It is obvious that he approaches each project as if he were working on his own house and the result shows.

BASEMENT REMODEL 

The DH Veirs contracting company completely met my needs in both the result and my budget. Danny is extremely knowledgeable about construction, remodeling and additions and shared the possible ideas with me and my son. He made suggestions where we could use the limited amount of room to our advantage, where we could save money, and basically get "more bang for our buck". His workers were professional and I always trusted them in my home. They were neat, courteous and friendly. When they could not answer a question they quickly called Danny for the answer. Danny was open to my emails and phone calls during the job. This was important because my son was doing the electrical portion of the job and they had to coordinate working on the job at various times. I was impressed how well they worked together as to who would work when and the ability to stay out from under each other's way. He met deadline and I am more than pleased with the results. I now have a cozy basement suitable for my son, his wife and their new baby son!

Additions

We contracted with D.H. Veirs Contracting to build cabinets to surround an existing fireplace in our new home. Dan spent a lot of time with us determining what our needs were and what design would fit the style of our house. He designed gorgeous cabinets that are beautifully detailed and constructed - really more like beautiful furniture than ordinary cabinets. His installers were professional, efficient, and CLEAN, and over the three days they were in the house, I was continually impressed by their attention to detail and their knowledge. Dan Veirs was here each day to check on the project and be sure the cabinets were installed according to his plans. We were so thrilled with the outcome that we are in the process of working with D. H. Veirs to work on a number of projects throughout our home, including the construction of additional cabinetry in the basement media room. We would recommend Dan and his company without reservation for any remodel/construction project.

This was my first experience working with Dan Veirs and his company and it was a job well done! Dan came highly recommended by another contractor who had done some concrete work at my house and he was local to my community of Kensington, so I was happy to use his services. Dan replaced my exterior porch overhang...completely redesigning it and building it from scratch. I was most impressed by the quality of the workmanship..his crew was excellent. But, the most impressive part of the process was Dan's own creative ideas. I basically knew how I wanted the porch to look, but he took it to another level with his suggestions, all of which were perfect! I have had several neighbors comment on how nice the new overhang looks and would certainly not hesitate highly recommending Dan Veirs. I hope to use his company again soon for a bathroom update!
